DESIGN SERVICES
YOU are the most important factor in any home decorating project! To get things started, an in-home consultation gives me a chance to get to know you, learn about your project, your style and your preferences. I will take measurements and we will look at furniture and accessories you already own which we may be able to use or repurpose for your project.
Depending on your needs, I will use all of this good information to design a “direction” or “details” packet which you can use to rearrange furniture, make purchases, and immediately get moving on your project!!
a complete package of “direction”
- suggestions for large furniture items
- scaled floor plan
- paint, color, finish, materials and fabric suggestions
- detailed instructions, comments and purchase selection criteria
- pictures and print outs of on-line resources for all items
- includes 4 to 6 design pages showing each area of the room (examples below)
a complete package of “details”
- suggestions for small furniture items, lamps and accessories
- directions for placement using scaled floor plan
- color, fabric, materials suggestions for finishing touches
- detailed instructions, comments and purchase selection criteria
- pictures and print-outs of on-line resources for all items
- includes 4 to 6 design pages showing each area of the room (examples below)
access to designer feedback
- 1 hour in-home follow-up consultation included with each package
- additional hourly consultation available
Below are examples of cover pages in a “details” package. Attached to each cover page are print-outs showing where to buy all the items on the internet. This is instant gratification decorating! I also try to include a couple of alternatives for each item to give clients options and give a clearer idea of the look I am suggesting, in case clients want to shop around and find something else. Many of my clients email links or text me from stores with pictures of items they are considering. I love weighing in and helping clients find just the right item that works for them!
